poi type : Miscellaneous
Location :

This Aerial Receiver Station was built after 1971.  The site included;

(a) Signal Station

(b) Five log periodic arials

(c) Three omni directional masts

The remains of this Station are still clearly visible on the south end of Windmill hill in the centre of South Battery and also in front of the old West Battery.

There was another set of structures behind the southern gun pits of Edward VII Battery and Genista Battery.  There was a large earth mat to the rear of these potions.  The Receiver Station was on the small hill where the present station stands.

Although out of period for this project, this information is included because of the residue which is still on site.
