The Shrine of Our Lady of Europa, started life as a small Moorish Mosque, then during the Spanish period it became a Shrine. Taken over by the British Army in 1704 it became a guardroom and later an oil store. In 1928 it was used as an Army Library. Returned to the Church in 1961, the bell tower was added later.
